Sarah Tolle Slow Down – Discover Weekly
Sometimes a new release just goes crazy! We love to see it happen especially for a hard working artist who has not seen that much success at the start of their journey. Seeing these kinds numbers on her Spotify for artists can be life changing!
Here is a breakdown of what happened with Sarah’s release and how you can make it happen!
Izzy Outerspace – Warm Summer Spotify
per day (lowest possible budget) in March 2023. Before we started
running the ads her listener numbers were in the single digits even
though she was gigging regularly in Los Angeles and was hustling hard on
social media. After a few months of consistent growth, something
started hapenning with her songs on Spotify- it figured who is likely to
enjoy them and the stream numbers are going through the roof!
We set up a Video View campaign for Barcelona born, Vancouver based Classical Pianist – Jordana Delgado. She created mesmerizing music videos set to piano pieces she wrote but had no idea how to actually promote them, so she contacted us.
As she is relatively unknown as an artist we decided the best course of action would be to set up an introductory video view campaign and targeted classical music fans. After some fine tuning the results were incredible!
I decided to put my money where my mouth is and run a Video View campaign for one of my videos… YIKES! The idea was simple, to perform a song live to a backing track the way I usually do as a live streamer only to take the production to the next level (add another iPhone hehe). I recorded and released this cover of All Along The Watchtower and ran this campaign after the release, here are the results! This music case study is a great example how Facebook ads work for music videos.
Justin Maki is an awesome Canadian artist, I’ve worked with a lot of people but this guy really is a talent who is going places! We had the pleasure of working with him on a song of his called ‘Fleeting’ in the fall of 2021. Fleeting as an acoustic singer/songwriter type of song that makes you want to curl up by the fire with a cup of hot chocolate and wait for Christmas to come.
Smell The Smoke is an alternative rock song that came out in the Summer of 2021. While it was not particularly radio friendly it did garner some good results and got Spotify algorithmic playlists boost. It appeared on a bunch of Release Radars and Discover Weekly which is really what you want. Spotify doing free promotion for you! You may see from this music case study that there are certain things you have to do first such as getting the song’s popularity score to around 20.
