Justin Maki Fleeting
Justin Maki is an awesome Canadian artist, I’ve worked with a lot of people but this guy really is a talent who is going places! We had the pleasure of working with him on a song of his called ‘Fleeting’ in the fall of 2021. Fleeting as an acoustic singer/songwriter type of song that makes you want to curl up by the fire with a cup of hot chocolate and wait for Christmas to come. We ran a Facebook/Instagram stories campaign with swipe up ads that took the listener to Spotify, here are the numbers for the first 2 months:
- Total Budget: $300
- Streams: 1467
- Listeners: 669
- SStreams per listener: 2.1
- Saves: 177
- Playlist adds: 132
- New followers: 50
Justin has never run a campaign like this, so everything was set up from scratch and he never paid attention to his Spotify profile that much. He had 190 followers when we started and barely 50 monthly listeners. His talent deserves a lot more and so we got his song on Release Radar and to this day it is his best performing song. Your first campaign is always the worst one. It takes time for Facebook to optimize it’s performance and if you don’t have a large Spotify following, Spotify has no data on your music and so it won’t know who is likely to enjoy your music… These things take time to build but once the gears are in place and running the power of these campaigns is unmatched!
